Covenant Christian School was founded in 1978. It is a non-denominational Christian co-educational day school, with close to 900 students from Preschool to Year 12. ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Brass Tutor to work with our Year 4 & 5 band students. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young musicians and be part of a supportive school music program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging small group lessons in brass (upper and lower brass essential)
• Support students in developing foundational technique and ensemble skills
• Collaborate with the band director and school staff
• Optionally take on private instrumental students at the school

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in teaching both upper/lower brass instruments
• Experience working with primary-aged students
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

DESIRABLE:

• Prior experience in school band programs
• Ability to adapt teaching to various skill levels
• Enthusiastic and encouraging teaching style
